Like every year, the model Constance Jablonski takes on the challenge of “dry January”, the month of January without alcohol. “I lived in the US for a very long time, as it’s an Anglo-Saxon trend, I’ve been doing this for a very long time”she introduces, before adding: “Plus it’s rewarding when you get there, they’re little challenges to start the year off right, and to show yourself that you’re capable.”
Best sparkling wine in the world
Constance Jablonski, 32 years old, and model since 2008, is the co-founder of an alcohol-free sparkling wine, French Bloom, voted best sparkling wine in the world two years in a row. “Since the start of my career as a model, I have often felt excluded in the evening, at events. Because I found it very paradoxical that my job requires me to be fresh in the studio every day at 6 a.m., and at the same time the heart of my job is (…) going to all the fashion week events. The two, for me, were not compatible”she says.
“When we ask for something else [que de l’alcool], we are looked at a little badly, and we are offered water or fruit juice, almost apologetically. (…) It is not normal. Today, we should be able to offer an option that is on the same level as a great wine or a great champagne, so that even those who don’t drink feel good around the table.”adds Constance Jablonski.
