It was with tears in her eyes that she spoke in her Instagram story… Manon, candidate for the 2014 season of The Voice Currently going through complicated times because of the health concerns of Billy, her baby of just one month. The young mother was forced to go to the emergency room, as she confided this Thursday, April 7, very worried because of her child’s respiratory problems.
“I told you yesterday that I thought he was still snoring a lot. Last night, the bottles were difficult and he was snoring a lot so this morning I didn’t hesitate, I went back to the emergency room”explains Manon on the social network before recounting the vagueness that reigned among the nursing staff when they arrived at the hospital: “When we arrived, they didn’t understand because they thought he wasn’t taken a lot and his nose was empty. So they sent me to the ENT department to do a check-up. And they found that Billy had a malformation of the larynx”.
A heavy intervention
The malformation in question is called “laryngomalacia”. A malformation that causes the larynx to return to the level of the trachea and which, therefore, causes many respiratory problems. “He is hospitalized until Monday because they want, before going through the operative stage, to try a treatment for reflux. a while. So they would like to test the treatment until Monday.”entrusts the ex-candidate of The Voice very moved.
She then explains that two scenarios will arise for her and Billy: “If it works, we go out, if it doesn’t work, we will be transferred to another hospital for an operation”. The parents will do everything to avoid the operation. Because according to him, it would be a “quite painful” intervention. “He needs to breathe so he would have a special general anesthetic. Afterwards he would stay in intensive care for a day and in the hospital for a day. We will see”she concludes, still very worried.
