For nine months, a homeless man of Georgian origin has been hosted in a computer company in Calvados. He has found his place and a precious refuge, which allows him to be safe at night. An initiative led by an association called “Les bureaux du cœur”.
Every evening, it’s at the time when the offices close that Zaza Mestonian arrives in this computer company. Zaza is 48 years old, he is Georgian, without papers, and without a fixed address. But for nine months, Zaza has found a roof, or rather a small room made available by the company. A closet, a bed, the old photocopier room has become his home for the nights. A room for sleeping, but also toilets and a shower are available, as well as the employee kitchen for cooking dinner. Every evening in the offices, Zaza is a bit like home. “I am free here”he said.
The 20 employees multiply the small attentions
Welcoming a homeless person every evening in the company’s premises is the idea of the director, when she accidentally discovered the association “Les bureaux du cœur”. “In France today we have a big problem of housing, precariousness. And companies are heated 24 hours a day, we have everything we need, the weekend is not used, so it seemed obvious to me to be able to accommodate someone”, says Aurélie Arsène, head of the Mojovida agency. Over the months, Zaza has made a discreet place for herself in the company. And the 20 employees, whom he only meets, multiply the little attentions towards him.
