The new cabinet of Justin Trudeau’s government “poses a risk to economic prosperity and national unity,” according to Conservative leader Erin O’Toole.

In addition, Mr. Trudeau’s choices are “another example of Justin Trudeau’s preference for style, not substance,” he commented.
“As Canadians want a serious plan to secure our economic future and respond to the inflation crisis, the Prime Minister has appointed a group of very inexperienced and ideologically driven people who pose a very real risk to our economic prosperity and national unity ”, reacted Mr. O’Toole in a press release.
However, he is careful not to point the finger at a particular minister.
However, there is reason to believe that the Conservative leader is disappointed with the choice of Steven Guilbeault as Minister of the Environment and Climate Change.
As a former environmental activist and co-founder of the organization Équiterre, Mr. Guilbeault is perceived by some in the west of the country as a radical who could harm the business of the oil industry, hence the perceived “risk” for “national unity”.
“Today’s cabinet changes show that the Prime Minister continues to reward ministers who consistently show incompetence and lack of accountability,” added Erin O’Toole.
