In Vendée, a business manager sold his company and bequeathed more than two million euros to his employees.

In a letter to his employees, and after 18 years at the head of his company of glazing TIV situated at Treize-Septiers (Vendée), Jean-Yves Glumineau announced his retirement and a colossal gift to his 150 employees still in shock. “He told us it was for our participation“, entrusts Kevin Lemosle, still surprised by the sum bequeathed by his boss. Indeed, 2,680,000 euros in bonuses will be distributed among all, according to the time worked in the company, i.e. an average of 18,000 euros gross per employee.

This tidy sum comes from the sale of the glazing company. It is, for Jean-Yves Glumineau, a thank you for the work done. “A man does nothing on his own, and if indeed the collaborators had not relayed the projects that animated me, if they had not had this involvement to make the company grow, we would not be here today. today“, justifies the boss. The only downside: 60% of the bonus is reduced by employer and employee charges, which does not prevent employees, who will therefore receive 7,000 euros net, from making plans with this gift.
