Back after OGC Nice’s defeat against Olympique Lyonnais (1-0) in the 22nd day of Ligue 1, a bus of Nice supporters was hit by a stone on the A46 motorway on the night of Friday 16 to Saturday February 17, reports the Rhône prefecture. A passenger was hit but did not wish to receive medical treatment. The bus resumed its route after the findings.
The incident took place around 12:45 a.m. Saturday near the Communay area (Rhône). The bus, which was carrying around thirty Nice supporters and two drivers, was hit by a stone, probably thrown from a bridge, which passed through the windshield and hit a passenger, the prefecture explained to AFP.

On X, OGC Nice brought “all his support for the Supporters Club”and called “the authorities to shed light on this incident, the consequences of which could have been dramatic”. “Once again, the violence of a few marks a post-match and damages the sporting competition that we all appreciate.,
“No sporting rivalry justifies such behavior. The Nice supporters and their drivers avoided what could have been a terrible accident while they were on the highway”for her part responded the prefect of Rhône on. “The police are continuing their research in order to bring the perpetrators to justice”she assured.
