Back after OGC Nice’s defeat against Olympique Lyonnais (1-0) in the 22nd day of Ligue 1, a bus of Riviera supporters was hit by a stone on the A46 motorway on the night of Friday 16 to Saturday February 17, reports the Rhône prefecture. A passenger was hit but did not wish to receive medical treatment. The bus resumed its route after the findings.

The president of the OGC Nice Supporters’ Club (CDS) announced on Saturday that she was going to file a complaint. She claims that her husband, who was with her at the front of the bus, was hit in the chest by the projectile.

The incident took place around 12:45 a.m. near the Communay area (Rhône). The bus, which was carrying around thirty Nice supporters and two drivers, was hit by a stone probably thrown from a bridge, which passed through the windshield and hit a passenger, the prefecture explained to AFP.

The Minister of Sports denounces the “violence of a few”

On X, OGC Nice brought “all his support for the Supporters’ Club”and called “the authorities to shed light on this incident, the consequences of which could have been dramatic”.
