Some repairs are trickier than others. Motorists stuck for long minutes Monday afternoon on the southern bypass of Perpignan had the bitter experience. For some unknown reason, a cash transport truck broke down while driving between the prison and the Serrat d’en Vaquer roundabout. In addition to a tow truck, we also had to call another armored truck to recover the money stored in the stranded vehicle. A delicate intervention which required the interruption of the traffic and the armed intervention of several BAC police officers in order to secure the transfer of funds.
The operation ended at the end of the afternoon and the broken down truck was able to be cleared from the road.
