Six years after disappearing, Alex Batty, a young British teenager, has just been found. He disappeared at the age of 11 in Spain.
Alex Batty is now 17 years old. This young Englishman who disappeared in 2017 has just resurfaced in Aude. Wednesday December 13, while walking on the side of a road, he attracted the attention of a delivery man, Fabien Accidini. In the car, the teenager confides to him that he was kidnapped by his mother, while he was living with his grandmother, and that he has lived on the margins of society ever since. “I don’t know if it was a cult. (…) He was a little stressed to have left, but relieved to be able to find his grandmother“, continues Fabien Accidini.

Interviewed by the police, the teenager is indeed the one whose disappearance had been reported at the time. The British police took over. “The young man’s grandmother spoke to him in a video call, she is happy to recognize him. “We have further checks to conduct once we return to the UK.” said Manchester Deputy Police Chief Chris Sykes.
British police are now looking for the young man’s mother and grandfather, suspected of having kidnapped him to integrate him into a sectarian community.
