A Bordeaux municipal councilor files a complaint against Philippe Poutou for “moral harassment”

The internal war in the Bordeaux en Luttes group continues. After the resignation of the former yellow vest Antoine Boudinet three weeks ago, the brand new municipal councilor Myriam Eckert announces file a complaint against Philippe Poutou and Évelyne Cervantes-Descubes Thursday 13 January. She accuses them of “moral harassment” after what she denounces as “placarding” within the group. In any case, the two municipal councilors concerned do no longer part of the Bordeaux en Luttes collective, says Myriam Eckert.

Manage my choices

“I thus become the only elected official for the moment legitimate to carry the word of the collective Bordeaux in Struggles”, explains the municipal councilor, who also asks Philippe Poutou and Évelyne Cervantes-Descubes to return the codes of the Facebook page to her. of the collective and no longer speak in its name. “I will sit alone in the Bordeaux parliament as an unregistered yellow vest, mandated by the collective, this collective whose door you have slammed while wishing to take the keys”, further denounces Myriam Eckert.

Just before the holidays, the one who was still a collaborator of the Bordeaux en Luttes group had publicly denounced its exclusion from the collective, believing that it is no longer kept informed of changes in the meeting place, and that it no longer has concrete missions to accomplish. The former yellow vest Antoine Boudinet, who entered the municipal council during the 2020 elections, had recognized this “placarding” and preferred to resign from his post. He was then automatically replaced by Myriam Eckert.

“Our collective is defeated”

The Bordeaux en Luttes collective, through the voices of Philippe Poutou and Évelyne Cervantes-Descubes, decided to react on Thursday. On the Myriam Eckert case, they claim that the city councilor was increasing “aggressive and insulting exchanges” and “hostile exits” against the presidential candidate for the New Anti-Capitalist Party (NPA). “What we wanted immediately was to operate separately to avoid making things even worse,” the elected officials explain.

Both recognize a crisis within the group. “Our collective is defeated,” they write. “We never managed to revive the momentum [des élections municipales, ndlr], to regain momentum. The crisis is severe, the collective is deserted. But that’s not why we have to self-destruct. All is not dead “, affirm Philippe Poutou and Évelyne Cervantes-Descubes, noting that the group will now sit separately on the municipal council.
