A book to help premature babies

A baby bird in a hurry to come out of its shell.

A unique boy like a snowflake. A couple in love that complements each other perfectly. A little fighter that nothing will stop.

Here are the heroes of the four stories found in The 1.8 pound.

Why this number? Because it is the average weight of a very premature baby. Eight local artists, including Simon Boulerice and Stéphanie Lapointe, took part in this work which really weighs 1.8 pounds to reflect “the fragility of a child born prematurely”.

All profits from the sale of the collection will be donated to Préma-Québec to support families of premature babies. Each year in the province, more than 6,000 infants are born prematurely.
