In the skies of Florida, a plane burst into flames in mid-flight shortly after takeoff due to a problem with one of its engines. The pilot then made an emergency landing at Miami airport: no one was injured.
A hole in one of the engines
This incident is a new blow for the American manufacturer, less than two weeks after a door was torn off in mid-flight in another Boeing. The CEO of the company tried to reassure his customers. “We will work with the transport safety agency which is investigating the origins of the incident.”, said Davie Calhoun, president and CEO of Boeing. The accident is believed to be linked to a hole in one of the engines. The investigation is ongoing.
