(Montreal) A rowboat with five people on board capsized Saturday afternoon on Dallaire Creek in Baie-Comeau. One of them is missing. Police and firefighters are currently on the scene for a rescue operation.

A call was made to the MRC Manicouagan police department shortly before 1 p.m. on Saturday, concerning a boat that capsized in the watercourse. According to preliminary information from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), there were two children among the five people on the boat.
For the moment, we do not know the causes of the accident and we do not know if the people were wearing a life jacket.
Four people were able to be extricated from the waters, then they were transported to a hospital center. We don’t know how their health is.
Regarding the missing person, it could be a man. At the end of the afternoon, the rescue operation is still in progress.
