The Quebec firm CGI announced Monday that it will devote $1 billion over the next three years to support the continued expansion of its artificial intelligence (AI) services and solutions.
President and CEO George D. Schindler says the investment will be developed in partnership with clients.
He points out that for more than 20 years, the Montreal-based information technology firm has offered intelligent automation and AI technologies in its services and solutions. He believes that CGI can now take advantage of proven use cases and ready-to-use industry solutions in artificial intelligence.
This is, according to CGI, the beginning of a new wave of innovation, a combination of human expertise and the ethical use of technology.
Last April, George Schindler pointed out that artificial intelligence could be integrated into products and services already offered by the company.
CGI says it has 91,000 advisors and other professionals around the world.
