Following the death of Michel Blanc, this Saturday, October 5, the Marais district (Paris) is in mourning. The actor lived there and was very popular with local residents. “We felt that he really lived in his neighborhood, that he made the local merchants work“, says Viktor Millet, who works in a tea shop. The actor also had his habits in a café on the Place des Vosges, where he often came to dine. “Every evening, around 6:30 p.m., he was there, and we had a meal nearby.” remembers Thérèse Cougoureux, restaurateur.
“I still see it, I hear it“, assures Aimé Cougoureux. A few streets away is the Splendid theater, founded by his troop of friends. On the afternoon of Saturday October 5, the spectators went there with a thought for the missing actor. “He played on this stage, obviously we thought of him”confides a man.
