A big name in soccer became a kebab champion

For all soccer fans, Lukas Podolski is synonymous with success and great moments on the pitch, but the former German national team striker has added a few strings to his bow in recent years.

The former Bayern Munich player is a formidable businessman, like the player who helped the German team win the World Cup in 2014. The one who retired internationally in 2017 but who continues to evolve in Poland with the Gornik Zabrze has created businesses proving quite profitable for him. There was Ice Cream United, then Mangal Döner, a chain operating around 30 kebab restaurants in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany.

Judging by a recent Podolski ad featuring his products, it’s easy to see his enthusiasm while enjoying a kebab sandwich. According to the daily newspaper “The Sun”, the public seems to appreciate his entrepreneurial spirit, because his financial empire has helped him build a fortune estimated at $307 million Canadian.
