A beautiful waste | The duty

At a cost of fourteen million dollars, a grandiose greenhouse, unique in North America, paid for by all Quebec taxpayers was built in Quebec in the early 2000s. Already, it is a shame that it has been left to herself for 15 years. But now the dice are cast, and we learn that demolition is imminent.

While this building, still in good condition, could represent a multitude of potential promising projects, we prefer to demolish it. Waste ! […]

The lack of vision of elected officials is resounding and staggering. The deaf ear of the Caquista government has something to revolt us. Indeed, a petition signed by more than 13,000 people has gone unheeded: undoubtedly an omen of the future of this building. But where are the elected officials when the time comes to really listen to the population? Only Catherine Dorion really got involved, thank you to her.

As for the new mayor Marchand, I would say that this is his first misstep. Although this land does not belong to the City, increased leadership would have been necessary. Very disappointing !

Quebec calls itself capital, while it allows the demolition of what could give it scope: sometimes the historic built heritage; here, a building that many other cities would dream of. Sad all the way.
