A bad first quarter sinks the Raptors

The Toronto Raptors conceded the Golden State Warriors 36 points in the first quarter Sunday in San Francisco and were never able to come back from behind, losing 119-104.

Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins led the charge for the California club with 33 and 32 points, respectively. Draymond Green was certainly a central element of this victory by recovering no less than 14 balls under the baskets.

Among the Raptors, Pascal Siakam was the offensive engine, he who scored 21 points.

Quebecer Khem Birch was once again used extensively by his head coach Nick Nurse, spending 21:46 on the playing surface. He totaled seven points, five rebounds, one assist, one interception and two blocks.

Limited to 13:33, Chris Boucher meanwhile added 10 points to the table while getting five rebounds.

The Raptors, who are still without OG Anunoby and Yuta Watanabe, will resume action on Wednesday by visiting the Memphis Grizzlies. The Canadian roster is 12th in the East by an 8-10 record.
