A bad deal is better than a good lawsuit

The saying could not say so well.

The American primaries, to choose the candidates for the nomination among the Democrats and the Republicans, have not yet started when Donald Trump for the Republican Party has already raised 34 million dollars, mainly by posing as an unfortunate victim of the system. American justice who accuses him of electoral fraud.

It is my opinion that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s lawsuit against Trump, however solid, will not hurt his chances of representing the “Grand Old Party” for the presidency.

But the lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems (DVS), the IT manager of the 2020 election, against the Fox News television network, would have a much better chance of hitting Trump where it would have hurt the most: the bloodletting of a large fringe of the moderate Republican right.

The DVS, accused by Trump and Fox News of fixing the vote to favor the Democratic Party, lost huge contracts and credibility because of this false accusation. However, the trial which was scheduled to be held these days, to prove the certain guilt of Fox News for defamation will not take place, because at the last minute, an amicable agreement between Fox and DVS. Surprise ?

Boss Ruppert Murdoch and the star hosts of Fox News will therefore not have to appear in court to answer for their lies, bad faith and defamation uttered against DVS. This deprives American public opinion of witnessing juicy exchanges that could have splashed Trump and undermined his plan to take over the White House.

Once again, the Trump bar slips from the hands of American political common sense.
