A 78-year-old man from Rennes is in serious condition, after a road accident in Rennes, this Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Around 11:30 a.m., he was hit by a car whilehe was crossing the road on a pedestrian crossing, rue de Fougères. He’s at the hospital.
The driver, a 40-year-old man from Congo, is in jail. He was driving a Citroën that had been lent to him, according to the Rennes prosecutor’s office, with a driving license that is not valid in France.
The first examinations did not reveal the presence of alcohol or narcotics. From more in-depth analyzes must be carried out.
