A 7-year-old girl kidnapped by her father who does not want her to be vaccinated

A mother has been looking for her daughter for two months who was allegedly abducted by her ex-husband because he does not want the child to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

For two months, Mariecar Jackson has been trying to find her seven-year-old daughter who she says was taken by her ex-husband to an undisclosed location, CTV News reported.

Mariecar Jackson’s ex-husband refused to return seven-year-old Sarah after a visit in November. Ms Jackson wanted her daughter vaccinated, but her ex-husband is adamantly against the vaccine.

Distraught, the Regina, Saskatchewan-area mother turned to the public for help in retrieving her child. She suspects that Sarah is out of school and kept apart from other children.

Michael, the father, appeared on a right-wing show last week from an undisclosed location to discuss his views against the vaccine. During the interview, shared on online platform Rumble, he and the host trade unsubstantiated and refuted stories about COVID-19 vaccines, including false claims that the messenger RNA vaccine alters the human DNA.

“I’m her father, it’s my job to protect her,” he can be heard claiming in the video.

“Even if there’s a one in a million chance your daughter could, not die, but if there’s a one in a million chance she couldn’t have a baby, wouldn’t that be enough?” he justified.

The girl is visible in the background for much of the interview. At one point, the host asks if the little one would like to be vaccinated, while her father points the camera at her. “It can change your DNA. I don’t believe God wills it. And it can make you sick and kill you,” Sarah said.

Ms Jackson said she still wants her daughter to be vaccinated, but currently her main concern is getting her home safely. She says she is ready to take the decision to court and let a judge decide.

Disputes over childhood vaccinations are said to be on the rise in Canada as the pandemic continues. In Quebec, a Superior Court judge ruled in favor of a mother who wanted to have her 12-year-old child vaccinated against the father’s wishes.

Saskatchewan RCMP said they are investigating Sarah’s case, but would not comment further.
