A 67-year-old cyclist dies hit by a vehicle in Outaouais

A 67-year-old cyclist succumbed to his injuries after being hit by a vehicle Friday evening in Chelsea, Outaouais.

Around 7:12 p.m., police officers from the MRC des Collines de l’Outaouais were called to the scene of a collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist on Route 105, in Chelsea.

In the accident, the cyclist was injured quite seriously. He was transported to the hospital where he was unfortunately pronounced dead.

“Route 105, between Juneau and Pont Alonzo roads, is currently closed to traffic for an indefinite time,” the MRC said in a press release.

An investigation is underway.
