A fatal fire broke out this Saturday July 23 in the town of Canteleu, near Rouen. A little before 7:30 p.m., the fire started from an apartment on the 10th floor of a building on Avenue de Versailles. Twenty firefighters from Seine-Maritime went to the scene.
When they arrived, the emergency services extracted a 53-year-old man from his apartment, in cardiopulmonary arrest. He was declared dead on the spot by the SMUR doctor. The provisional assessment of this fire also mentions two injured people, transported to the Rouen University Hospital. Three other people, unharmed, were able to remain at the scene.
