The firefighters intervened this Saturday evening around 8 p.m. to rescue a cyclist found injured, lying on the ground, on Avenue d’Anduze in Alès (Gard). A witness was trying to resuscitate the man who had fallen into cardio-respiratory arrest, when the emergency services arrived to take over. Despite the rapid intervention of a fire brigade ambulance and an SMUR, the 46-year-old victim could not be saved.
