A 44-year-old man was very seriously injured by gunfire in Bourg-lès-Valence, in Drôme, on Sunday May 26, reports France Bleu Drôme Ardèche. A man was arrested and taken into custody. An investigation was opened for “attempted intentional homicide”.
The victim received at least one bullet in the head, around 1:40 p.m., in the MJC parking lot (myouth and culture house) Jean-Moulin from Bourg-lès-Valence. “His vital prognosis is extremely serious,” rectifies the Drôme prosecutor’s office with France Bleu Drôme Ardèche, after initially announcing the death of the victim.
The judicial police quickly identified a suspect, a young man in his twenties. Less than an hour after the shooting, around 3 p.m., he was arrested at his home in the Valence metropolitan area and then placed in police custody.
