A 36-year-old woman stabbed to death was discovered on Friday March 22 in an apartment on Boulevard Voltaire, in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, franceinfo learned from the Paris prosecutor’s office.
The victim was found with more than ten stab wounds, according to a police source. The prosecution specifies that she was the mother of a three-year-old child and that the protocol for the care of minors was triggered to ensure her support.
An investigation was opened and entrusted to the criminal brigade of the judicial police department. The prosecution specifies that the spouse, aged 39, was taken into police custody around 1 p.m. Investigators will have to determine if “the marital character must be retained”. The couple had no known criminal history of domestic violence.
