Since the Hamas attack on October 7, anti-Semitic acts have increased throughout France. Are we seeing an exceptional increase? In the first quarter, the Ministry of the Interior recorded 366 incidents compared to 122 for the same period last year, an increase of 300%.

People directly targeted

According to the authorities, these figures are much higher than those observed during the Merah affair, or during the attack against the Hyper Cacher. What are the main attacks recorded in France? In 60% of cases, it is people who are targeted. Last February in Paris, there was an attempted murder. In the school environment, incidents are increasing: 408 have been recorded since October.
