A 30-year-old dies in a swerve in the Laurentides wildlife reserve

(Lac-Jacques-Cartier) A vehicle swerved Monday morning in the Laurentides wildlife reserve, in the Capitale-Nationale region, which cost the driver his life.



The accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. in the unorganized territory of Lac-Jacques-Cartier, more precisely on Route 175 at approximately kilometer 117 northbound.

A man in his thirties lost control of his vehicle before rolling over, according to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ). The driver was alone in his vehicle.

He was transported to a hospital center where he succumbed to his injuries, said Béatrice Dorsainville, spokesperson for the SQ.

A collision investigation officer came to the scene to analyze the scene and establish the causes and circumstances surrounding the accident.

A northbound lane of Route 175 is currently closed at kilometer 116.
