Spaniard Rafael Nadal won the Australian Open and claimed the 21st major title of his career on Sunday.

For the occasion, Nadal defeated Russian Daniil Medvedev 2-6, 6-7 (2), 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in a meeting that lasted around five hours.
With another major title, Nadal sets the record for the most triumphs at a Grand Slam tournament, with 21. He was tied with Switzerland’s Roger Federer and Serbia’s Novak Djokovic, who remain at 20.
