A 1st circuit with the Angels for Quebecer Charles Leblanc, the Rangers win 7-4

(Arlington) Quebecer Charles Leblanc hit his first home run with the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday in a 7-4 loss to the Texas Rangers.


Leblanc, who was recalled from the AAA level on May 1,er September, drove in three runs with his arms stretched to cut the deficit to 5-3 in the fourth inning. Taylor Ward and Zach Neto preceded him at the plate.

Andrew Heaney (5-13) snapped an eight-game winless streak for the Rangers. He allowed four runs, three earned, three hits and a walk in six innings, striking out eight.

Marcus Semien, Nathaniel Lowe and Ezequiel Duran hit long balls in the win. Kirby Yates scored his 29th goal.e saving the season in 30 attempts.

Angels starter Caden Dana (1-1) was ejected after just one inning. The 20-year-old pitcher gave up five runs, seven hits and one free pass.
