Drôme: a 16-year-old teenager killed in a brawl – (FRANCEINFO)
On the night of Saturday November 18 to Sunday November 19, in Crépol (Drôme), a 16-year-old young man was stabbed to death and eight other people were seriously injured in a brawl, on the sidelines of a village festival.
The small village of Crépol (Drôme) woke up in mourning on Sunday November 19. In front of the village hall where the fight took place, there are traces of blood on the ground and on a car. Last night, shortly before 2 a.m., as the village ball was ending, a group of around ten young people entered the village hall in force. Inside, a stabbing fight broke out. The toll was terrible: a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death and eight other people were seriously injured.
An open investigation
Throughout the day, witnesses to the fight were interviewed by the police. Upon leaving, friends of the victim recount the violence of the attack committed, according to them, by young people they did not know. “I don’t know how many of them arrived and surrounded the village hall. In two minutes, everything happened, stabbings everywhere”, testifies a young person. A psychological unit has been set up in the village town hall. An investigation was opened for murder and attempted murder. The alleged attackers, who managed to flee, are actively being sought.
