A 15-year-old schoolboy is between life and death after being violently attacked in front of his establishment, in Viry-Châtillon (Essonne), Thursday April 4, franceinfo learned from the prosecution from Évry-Courcouronnes, confirming information from Parisian.

The events took place in front of the Sablons college. “The attackers fled” and no arrests took place Thursday evening, explains the prosecutor, Grégoire Dulin, to franceinfo. A police source told France Télévisions that three alleged attackers are wanted and not identified”. According to this same source, the victim is hospitalized in Paris and his vital prognosis is in jeopardy.

The student was leaving his music class and was returning home, less than 100 meters from the establishment, when he was beaten up by a group of individuals. According to the mayor of Viry-Châtillon, Jean-Marie Vilain, on franceinfo, he was found “haggard in a stairwell, he could no longer respond”. He was then transported to Necker hospital accompanied by his mother.

Reinforced police presence

“The first elements suggest premiditation”, explains the prosecutor, and a judicial investigation was opened for “attempted assassination” and “intentional violence in a meeting near a school establishment”. The victim was, according to him, not known to the justice system.

Security will be reinforced in front of Les Sablons college, but also in the neighborhood and the entire city, said the city’s mayor. This decision to strengthen the police presence was taken in collaboration with the new prefect of Essonne, Frédérique Camilleri, and the police commissioner stationed in the city.
