The mother of a fourteen-year-old teenager kept recluse since birth in the family home of Rennes will be judged on October 5, announced Thursday, May 18, the Rennes prosecutor’s office at France Bleu Armorique, confirming information from Ouest-France.
In July 2022, this woman had presented to the emergency room of the pediatric hospital of the southern hospital of Rennes after the discomfort of her son, a fourteen-year-old teenager weighing only 27 kilos, half the average weight of a young of his age. The mother was then placed in police custody this month of July 2022 and a preliminary investigation had been opened by the prosecution. Ten months later, at the beginning of the week, the woman was again placed in police custody and under judicial control, before her trial next October. She faces a seven-year prison sentence and a fine of 100,000 euros.
