The “The world in images” section returns, Sunday June 23, to seven days of news across the planet.

It’s a moment she’s been waiting for almost her entire life. At 105 years old, an American woman was able to put on her dress as a young graduate of a master’s degree in education. In 1941, she had to stop her studies, her husband having been conscripted by the army.

It’s never too late to experience your first concert either. The group Coldplay offers the hearing impaired vibrating vests that allow them to feel serious sounds and bass. Interpreters translate the lyrics of the songs into sign language.

Mathieu Forget is the photographer who makes athletes fly, to sublimate Paris and the athletes. In Finland, 21 countries competed in a discipline that is not yet Olympic: the hobby horse, or stick horse. It’s the human who jumps and neighs. This very serious discipline has developed thanks to social networks.

For the Fête de la Musique, the Justice group also let loose the horses and the decibels, transforming the Sacré-Cœur (Paris) into an ephemeral electro sanctuary.
