While visiting my mother at the CHSLD Denis-Benjamin-Viger today, I learned that the staff had been informed by the ministry that parking at the CHSLD will now be chargeable for them, starting around mid-June!
I find this initiative deplorable: not only is the CHSLD poorly served by the STM, being in a district far from Montreal, but it seems to me that this is not a measure that will promote the retention of staff of whom we all say days in the media that there is a shortage of them!
I very much hope that the Minister of Health will cancel this false good idea to replenish the state coffers!
