(Hamilton) Ryan Fox carded a -6 (64) to tie leader Robert MacIntyre, at -10, after two rounds at the RBC Canadian Open on Friday.
In the morning, MacIntyre recorded a score of minus-4 (66) to climb to the top of the rankings.
Fox birdied the par-5 fourth hole, as well as the par-4 fifth. After making a bogey on the next hole, he recovered with another birdie, on a par 4, at the ninth. The 37-year-old has still not won a title in 47 tournaments on the PGA Tour.
The Canadian and defending champion, Nick Taylor, missed the cut.
Ontarian Mackenzie Hughes returned a score of -6 (64) to climb 28 places in the rankings. He is now tied for fourth place, seven shots under par.
The American Joel Dahmen, at -8 in total, occupies third position.
His compatriot Andrew Novak and Englishman David Skinns are tied with Hughes in fourth place.
Corey Conners is in 13e place. He played -3 on Friday (67) and has a cumulative score of -4.
