Is there a need for greener agriculture? The EU’s major strategy for the environment is the green deal. Among its objectives: to halve the use of pesticides. With nuances, the heads of the right and far-right lists reject most of the ideas in this plan.

For the left-wing lists, making agriculture greener means above all paying our farmers better. The Insoumis prefer to play on prices. The challenge is significant: agriculture is the second sector that emits the most CO2 in France behind transport.
