(Longueuil) The 50-year-old found dead inside a car on Wednesday was the victim of a murder, the Longueuil Police Service (SPAL) said on Thursday.
The 54-year-old woman was found dead in the parking lot of a shopping center on Rolland-Therrien Boulevard in Longueuil on Wednesday afternoon. A passerby made the discovery around 1:20 p.m.
“At this point in the investigation, we are now in a position to confirm that it would be a murder,” the SPAL wrote in a Twitter post on Thursday. “Traces of violence were found on the body of the lady,” said agent Mélanie Mercille of the Longueuil police department earlier.
