Gambardella Final: the summary of OM-Nancy

The Phocéens won the competition for the second time by dominating the Lorraines at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille.

The kids never shook. The youngsters from Olympique de Marseille triumphed over AS Nancy Lorraine (4-1) in the Gambardella Cup final, bringing together the best French teams under the age of 18, Saturday May 25, at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille. The interruption of the match for around ten minutes, after the Marseille goalkeeper was targeted by a projectile coming from the stands in the 68th minute, did not disturb the Olympians.

Achievements from Keyliane Abdallah and Clément Mathis launched the Phocaeans perfectly in the first quarter of an hour, before Yanis Delaveau reduced the gap. A few minutes after the match resumed, following the projectile throw, Gaël Lafont gave the Olympians a two-goal lead, before Adam Nosel completed Marseille’s second triumph in the competition, after 1979.
