This is the end of a five-year-long shared story. Arriving in the Principality in 2019, Wissam Ben Yedder will leave the Asemist club, he who was at the end of his contract at the end of the season. In a press release published on Saturday May 25, the departure of the striker with 118 goals and 34 assists in 201 matches in the Monegasque jersey was made official. The player’s next club, indicted in an investigation for “rape, attempted rape and sexual assault“, not known.

At 33, the man who was still captain this season leaves the club having left his team in second place in the championship, after an exercise during which he scored 16 goals and gave two assists. “Thanks Wissam. It’s a special page in the club’s history that turns this summer“, wrote AS Monaco, in a final tribute.

Words which resonate with those of sports director Thiago Scuro, rave about his attacker: “Everyone knows Wissam’s qualities, those of an exceptional striker, with an incredible sense of the game and goal. What he did on the pitch during these five seasons will remain in the history of the club.”
