The 20 Hours returns to Tuesday May 21 at the Cannes Film Festival. On the program in particular, the Olympic flame which climbs the steps and a film which caused a sensation on the Croisette.
On the program for Tuesday May 21, a climb of the Olympic steps or even a scent of scandal. There was no shortage of stars of the day on the Croisette with Daniel Auteuil or Catherine Deneuve, but there was one that shone a little more than the others: the Olympic flame, carried by four Olympic athletes and Paralympics. This event is, of course, a first in the history of the Festival.
Today’s film takes us behind the scenes of the sulphurous Last Tango in Paris. The film caused a scandal in 1972, notably for an improvised rape scene. Facing star Marlon Brando, the very young Maria Schneider will never recover from this traumatic filming. An actress with a broken destiny, this film aspires to rehabilitate her memory.
