(Toronto) Taylor Heise scored two goals, including the game-winning net in the third period, and Minnesota defeated Toronto 4-1 to win the series 3-2 on Friday, advancing to the first Professional Hockey League final feminine.
Minnesota will face Boston in the Walter Cup final. The Bostonnaises swept Montreal in three games.
Denisa Krizova and Sophia Kunin also scored for Minnesota, which lost the first two games of the series before winning the next three, including Wednesday’s game 1-0 in the second overtime.
