Ahuntsic College, in Montreal, had to close its doors Thursday after being targeted by a “potential cyberattack”.
On its Facebook page, the management of the college clarified that all regular education and continuing education activities have been lifted.
Staff, except for security, maintenance and IT employees, are not required to work.
The management also asked the entire college community not to use the workstations and laptops provided by the establishment.
On Wednesday evening, a first message published by the college indicated that all internal computer systems had been closed “as a precautionary measure”.
Ahuntsic College has ensured that its information resources team ensures the restoration of systems.
More information is expected to be made public later.
