According to the Canada’s 100 Best list, the “best” restaurant in the country is in Montreal. My rabbit, a table as rigorous as it is festive, comes in first position for the second year in a row, confirming diners’ current preference for relaxed experiences.
Vanya Filipovic and Alex Landry, two of the co-owners of Mon Lapin, were also named sommeliers of the year.
Montreal also has the best bar chef of 2024, Kate Boushel, from the Barroco Group. Around thirty other Quebec restaurants are located in the greater hundred. We note for example that Beba, a small, fairly confidential restaurant in Verdun (so much so that it was “forgotten” in previous years) comes in eighth position.
Newcomers Sabayon (79e) and Casavant (87e) are found on both the big list and the top 10 new restaurants list.
In Quebec, Tanière3 (60e) and Arvi (89e) are recognized. The same goes for a few tables located outside the major centers: La cabin d’à passant (32e), Auberge Saint-Mathieu (58e) and Espace Old Mill (91e).
