A man in his sixties was arrested in connection with at least two shootings that occurred overnight from Sunday to Monday in Longueuil.
The first detonations rang out around midnight outside the La Siesta motel, in the borough of Greenfield Park, on Taschereau Boulevard. On site, officers from the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service (SPAL) noticed several bullet holes.

Authorities then received another call regarding one or more shootings in the parking lot of a Guzzo cinema located not far from the first scene. A bullet hit a car parked near the establishment.

No one was injured in these two episodes of armed violence.
A firearm was found by police on the doorstep of a residence on Vivian Street.
A man in his sixties was located and arrested in connection with these events. He was transported to hospital to receive psychological help, confirmed agent Mélanie Mercille, spokesperson for the SPAL.
