Jordan Bardella, the president of the RN, well ahead of the polls for the European elections, is “a serial liar”, tackled Monday May 13, 2024 Roland Lescure, Minister Delegate in charge of Industry, on franceinfo. “He surfs on the problems”, he assured.
“I hear Jordan Bardella who systematically goes to the factories and lies to the employees by telling them ‘we lied to you, we are abandoning you’”denounced the Minister of Industry, repeating that the head of the list of the National Rally for Europeans has “a war of delay every day”. “He was against Europe, ultimately, he is for it. He was against the euro, ultimately, he is for it. He was against the energy market, ultimately, he is for it and today, he is against it. the electric car”castigated the delegate minister, re-elected deputy for the North America constituency in 2022.Frankly, he has lost all the battles Jordan Bardella, he is going to lose another one by saying that the electric vehicle is a bad idea”he added.
As for the future debate which is to take place on May 23 between Prime Minister Gabriel Attal and the RN candidate, Roland Lescure sees it “a real duel between those who believe in Europe and those who do not”. It’s necessary “lead this fight to show that it is a sham, Jordan Bardella is a serial liar and we must reestablish the truth about Europe which helps us, which saves us, which moves us forward”, he said, after estimating that the campaign of the presidential majority candidate Valérie Hayer “is taking”.
“Today, there is a real divide between those who believe in Europe without naivety, by transforming it to improve the daily lives of the French, and those who have systematically been fighting the wrong battle for 25 years by giving Europe the responsibility for all the evils of the earth and by refusing in any case to make it better”continued the minister.
“We made Europe move like never before”
To counter the rise of the RN list in the polls, Roland Lescure wants to highlight what Europe brings today. “We raised issues, we made Europe move like we had never done before”he defended, while repeating that the European Commission must go “faster and stronger on respecting competition”. Brussels has notably opened two anti-subsidy investigations targeting Chinese solar energy groups, suspected of having received subsidies distorting competition in the European market.
“On solar panels, on fertilizers, on electric vehicles, on medical devices, Europe is moving and I can tell you, it is more thanks to us than thanks to others who complain a lot , but who don’t do much”, he pressed. “I hope that the European Commission will move quickly with its investigations and take drastic measures if the investigations show that competition has been distorted”, which seems to be the case according to him. Roland Lescure added that he hoped that these investigations “will allow tariff barriers to be put in place as soon as possible. The European Commission is realizing that the rules have changed, it is time”greeted the minister.
