Romain Basque and Mehdi Beneddine are the two winter recruits

They signed at Berri for different reasons. First of all, the Roman Basque defensive midfielder who went to play in Baku in Azerbaijan (26 years old) had the good fortune to have a little girl. He saw her through his smartphone. He preferred to return to France to find his wife and daughter. And as La Berri was looking for this profile, Romain Basque has signed up for three seasons. The new defensive midfielder describes his favorite position as follows: “JHe prefers to play as a sentinel in a low point in front of the three-way defense. At the level of my qualities, I have a good left foot to make the relation with the attackers and when it is necessary to put the foot on the ball, I know how to do it too.“Romain Basque also played at Le Havre Athlétique Club and he even had the good fortune to score at the Gaston-Petit stadium against Châteauroux, he remembers it very well!

Romain Basque and Mehdi Beneddine are not sure of being qualified for the trip this Friday to Bastia.

Mehdi Beneddine (25), for his part, joined Berri on a six-month loan with option to buy. He was evolving at USM Algiers (1st Algerian division) but following the change of coach, his playing time was reduced as a skin of grief. It is to compensate for the injury of Castelroussin Adama M’Bengue (who should be back in a little over a month) that he signed up with La Berri.

The player trained in Monaco made play his network, by contacting Guévin Tormin another Monegasque passed by Châteauroux who only said good things to him about the club. Mehdi Beneddine can also evolve in different positions in defense but he often played left side: “I want to bring what I know how to do, namely to defend well and I have progressed in this area but I can also bring my offensive qualities if the coach asks for it. I know that in this position the competition will be tough when Adama Mbengue is back but one thing is certain, I will give my all. “There is, however, very little chance that the two recruits will be traveling this Friday to Bastia Borgo. On the other hand, if coach Castelroussin Mathieu Chabert decides, they will be in the group for the reception, at the Gaston Petit stadium in Avranches on January 14
