A criminal lawyer accused of having played a role in a murder linked to organized crime was released under strict conditions Wednesday at the Joliette courthouse. Noémie Tellier is giving up working as a lawyer until the end of the proceedings.

After spending a few days behind bars, Noémie Tellier was released on conditions on Wednesday following an agreement between the parties ratified by judge Lyne Décarie. The criminal lawyer will now be prohibited from identifying herself as a lawyer, from performing any legal act or from being in a courthouse.
Noémie Tellier will have to live with her parents and will be subject to a curfew at night. To obtain her freedom, she deposited a sum of $10,000 and third parties pledged several thousand dollars.
He will be prohibited from communicating with his alleged accomplices and from communicating with Wesley McKenzie. She will also not be able to refer to this man on social networks.
