A meeting with Ursula von der Leyen
During a meeting with the Head of State and Ursula von der Leyen, Emmanuel Macron intends to advocate common reciprocity. “It is the balance of trade which is not at all in the figures. There is a 400 billion deficit in the European trade balance with China.”specifies Jean-Baptiste Monnier.
According to him, China “sells more than it buys, produces more than it can consume. (…) The capacity is such that China delivers 80% of the world’s solar panels using its factories at 50%.” The expert finally emphasizes that “the Europeans and the French have social security coverage that the Chinese do not respect for their employees. We must fight foot by foot on this ground to defend our industries.”
