An unusual event occurred in Val-des-Sources, in Estrie, on Saturday afternoon.
Around 4:30 p.m., a plane crashed in the middle of the Three Lakes.
The pilot of the small glider-type aircraft suffered only minor injuries. He was taken to a hospital to be examined.
The Sûreté du Québec has not opened an investigation since it considers it to be a simple accident, despite its unusual nature. A false maneuver by the pilot would be the cause.
The Trois Lacs are a body of water shared between Val-des-Sources and Wotton, in Estrie, as well as between Saint-Rémi-de-Tingwick and Tingwick, in Centre-du-Québec.
